After expressing interest in a car that was listed on its site, the manager sent me an email providing his contact info in case I needed anything, but letting me know he had passed my question to a sales rep. Nick, my sales representative, was very communicative and helpful, answering all of my questions right away. When the Jeep I was initially interested in didn’t work out, Nick worked to find something based on my specific search criteria and not trying to sell me just anything. Real human help, not bots. I brought my car in for repairs to the service department. While it was there . I handed my keys to the service department. I was no longer In possession of my keys or my car . It was broken into on 10/20/2023
When I picked my car up on Monday 10/23/2023 I noticed a very sentimental item missing from my car . I went back into the service department and mentioned this to the service advisor. She didn’t know what I was talking about. Immediately the service manager came out of his office asking me what was missing. We walked outside to my car. I showed him . He looked through my car. Didn’t ask if anything else was missing. He mentioned that his detailed department might of knocked it off . It was at the end of the day . He would check with the next day. I noticed the next morning my prescription sunglasses were missing . I called the Service manager. He sold me I was the 4th call that morning. That his vehicle was broken into as well over the weekend. He had left his vehicle at the dealership as well. He asked me to file a police report I did . I asked if the police came to investigate the break in of the night when it happened. He said no . I ask why ? He said he was wondering about that as well. Why wouldn’t the police not come to a Major Dealership when Apparently 6- locked Car alarms are going off. No answer to that from the dealership or police. I asked the service manager why didn’t anyone from that works at the dealership come to check on the Alarms going off. His answer was We were closed!!!!!!! Really

I was Told verbally by the service manager many times I would be compensated for my car being broken into. I asked several times why it was taking so long. One of his excuses was the owner was away!!!!
All I kept getting was excuses and jerked around.
The service manager finally told me to talk to the General Manager. Im sure he got tired of dealing with me . Since I told him how I felt about being jerked around.

Mind you . They had my keys and my car . Not me . It was parked in there private parking lot. On their private property. Being served by there Dealership.

Nathaniel knew the whole time he was looking through my car that my car had been broken into and said nothing. How I know. His vehicle was broken into as well. He has mentioned every time I asked him about when Im going to get compensation. Im sure he has been compensated. Also the GM told me I have to file a claim with my insurance company. That was never told to me by The Service Manager. Not once.
Why should I file a claim with my insurance company when I wasn’t even in possession of my car or keys . They where . They are responsible!!!!!!!!!

Easiest car buying process ever. Keith was awesome. Everything other than deposit and paperwork done over the phone. Stayed in communication and made sure I was comfortable through whole process. He found my exact car after 3 days of searching. Did the numbers and was spot on my budget. Didn't try to up sell or do some snake car salesman stuff. TOP NOTCH SALESMAN. Larry is finance was the best. My paperwork and down payment maybe took 10 minutes. He had everything done and ready to go. Didn't try to up sell me either, listened to what I wanted, and was ready for me with all the paperwork in order, ready to go. Again, NO snakes car salesman tricks. Best place to buy a car. I wish I could leave no stars! couldn’t care less about their quality of their work or customer service. Condescending and deceitful. That goes for the GM Jason, and the new service manager (lot of turnover), and female service writer. I have taken my warranty vehicle there for many years. I have had other issues but chose to give them the benefit of the doubt once (I should not have). One of my older services under warranty they dropped my car when it was on a lift and dented one of my doors pretty good. Because of the color of my car and the placement it was a costly repair due to color matching. They told me they would cover it and get it fixed. I thanked them and I appreciated their honesty. We agreed i would deal with it next time I had service with them. Next time I had service I also got my own quote for the repair (considering they do not do bodywork themselves) I said I want to take it somewhere closer to me that I know is good with body work. Jason the GM had a problem with me doing my work somewhere they didn’t get a discount. I told them well that is their problem considering they damage my car! Also repairing it were they wanted would’ve been far more inconvenient for me. It took MANY phone calls with him that eventually ended in a yelling match because each time he’d tell me they would pay the repair and then would go back on his word! acting like we never discussed it !!! INFURIATING!! He spoke very condescendingly to me as if he could talk me into doing whatever he thought was best for them. I had to threaten Jason with legal action to get that payment. As unhappy as I was with that GM’s service I was trying not to hold it against the service center, who I thought were decent. My treatments after that was pretty bad they were rude and seem to have the same deceitful tactics. At today’s service visit they tried charging me to have my vehicle diagnosed when I was taking it in for service work. For almost 4+ years I’ve always taken it there for service work only with the exception of oil changes. I do this because I have a very good warranty, and because they’re a bit of a drive for me. Well when I let them know I wasn’t paying separately for the diagnosis (but I was still making plans to have all the work done as soon as they have the parts ordered ) things got ugly they refused to give me back my keys, I let them know they had never made it clear that they were charging me separately today JUST TO DIAGNOSE! They showed me paperwork that also did not indicate this. I have never paid for diagnostics there. I’ve always had my quoted work done by them. The quote for the work they claim my warranty won’t cover was extremely high and even if I was going to get it done I felt like it wasn’t probably a very fair quote. I feel they are more than likely being spiteful. To make Insults worse the scummy female service writer made a loud comment that I could “just take my vehicle to Bedard brothers”(A larger Chrysler dealership that is closer to me) well I made a comment how that might be in poor taste to try to chase away customers they do have as their business seems to be struggling a bit. If they didn’t know, I took it to them because I believe they did a more considerate thoughtful job. When I started going there the service manager was somebody I knew a little bit and lived local to me. I knew him to be very good and honest. Maybe I should’ve taken a hint when he left and the following service manager behind him also left all within several years. Well now I will not service my vehicle there anymore. I won’t buy a vehicle at there dealership (which I planned on doing there when this vehicle ran its warranty out) . I don’t understand there very underhanded and unproductive way of doing business?!? If I can make any suggestion I suggest AS STEVENSON’S DID TODAY….go to a bigger better dealership!

I'm giving Stevens Dodge Chrysler five stars for how they handled my recent purchase of a 2021 Dodge Ram pickup. I started leasing Dodge Rams in 2014 for my business. I fell in love with them the first time I drove them. My first truck came from zappone in Granville New York and had a good experience with them. The next truck in 2016 that I leased, came from Stevens here in Bennington Vermont. It was nice to deal local and my experience with them was outstanding in both sales and service. The third ran that I got in 2019 came from Leah in Albany. I went there because they supposedly had great sales and leasing programs that couldn't be beat from anywhere in the Capital District area. I mistakenly went ahead and leased from them and it was not a very good experience. Bigger isn't always better! Not only wasn't I told about the terms of the lease and the contract, I got stuck with several thousand dollars worth of fees because they said I went outside of the contract parameters and I owe them $2,000. It did not make me very happy to know that it was because I wasn't clear on any of the least issues until after the fact. I found it a bit deceptive! Just three weeks ago at the end of April I went back to Stevens and despite the fact I went with Leah the last time they welcomed me with open arms and again I experienced outstanding sales and service and help to purchase the new 2021 Dodge Ram Sport. Things couldn't have gone smoother, everything was explained, and I was happy to see Keith Sullivan who used to work at the Nissan dealership in town and I had previous experience with, under the employ of Stevens and he was my salesperson. Outstanding individual! Jason, the manager or owner also got involved and help facilitate a great deal with great terms and financing. I made a mistake in the past but I will make sure in the future I won't go anywhere else except Stevens here in Bennington. Do everyone at the shop, for their help and consideration and delivering a great product in a timely manner. I'm a very happy camper!

We inquired online about trading our 208 Charger for a 2021 Ram 1500. We received a call from Nick within two hours after submitting the inquiry. After some discussion I called back and spoke with the GM Jason (Nick was tied up).

Buying a vehicle over the phone is something I never did. When my internet search found a truck that hit my criteria and told me it was almost 3 hours away, I was worried about how this would go. When I called Stephens, Keith answered the phone and was honest and authentic during our conversation. He answered my questions and followed up with the questions he couldn't answer right off the tip of his tongue. After a series of phone calls and documents shared over the internet I was scheduled to pick up my truck in a few days. We loaded the family in the van and headed to Bennington. Once onsite the process was seamless and there wasn't any hidden agendas with add-ons or pressures, it was great. If it weren't for how much time I was on hold with my Insurance company (to get truck on policy), we might have been in and out in less than 30 minutes!! My wife and 2 of my younger children enjoyed the waiting room area and the atmosphere of the place was inviting. Keith had the truck warmed up and it was ready to throw the kids in to head home. The company is doing great work following safety protocols for COVID and overall I wouldn't bat an eye taking the drive to go purchase another truck in the future. Thanks Keith and Larry and all of those behind the scenes.

The availability of the internet has made shopping for a new vehicle easier in many ways, but working with a local dealer that appreciates your business completes the experience. Both the internet website and interpersonal experience I had with Stephens CDJR of Bennington were awesome.
I located a Ram (1500 Built to Serve Edition Crew Cab with Bighorn Level 2 equipment and the 5.7L MDS VVT eTorque motor) on their website. The website was extremely well laid out with a search function that was much easier to use than most of their competitors'. Once I identified the Ram trucks in their inventory, I made the 55 mile drive to the dealership.
What a beautiful facility! It seemed brand new and the pride exhibited in the well maintained condition of the showroom resonated in the attention I received from Keith Sullivan on the sales staff. My knowledge about the Ram 1500 from their website coupled with Keith's listening skills allowed us to quickly work towards a purchase. In less than one-half hour, we closed the deal.
I picked up the vehicle and received the same awesome service from Larry in Finance with the paperwork. Everything was as we discussed during the sale.
Before I left with the Ram, I received an introduction to the Service and Parts Director, Tom. This was my first purchase at a dealership where that type of introduction took place. Very professional in my judgment.
Keith gave me a new vehicle introduction which included memorializing my smiling face on a picture with the new Ram. They took $500 off the asking price and since I had researched what I wanted I knew we were getting a decent price.
